Newly renovated library hosts Community Leaders’ Meeting

It only seemed fitting to celebrate the opening of the newly renovated Cuero Municipal Library by using it to host the first Cuero Development Corporation Community Leaders’ Meeting of 2018 on Friday, Jan. 5. Mayor Sara Post Meyer issued an address on the state of the city followed by tours from library director Lynn Mixon.
“It’s so nice to see so many bright faces this early in the morning in this space,” Meyer stated in her opening.
Thanks to local taxpayers and the work of city council under the guidance of city manager Raymie Zella and finance director Connie Hawes, the library and market pavilion are both paid in full at a cost of $2 million.
