Gail Elaine Salcher, 34, of Austin, Texas passed away in Seattle, Washington on Friday, Jan. 3, 2020.
The funeral is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 29, at 11 a.m. with interment at Hillside Cemetery in Cuero with Pastor Ron Welborn of Cuero’s First Methodist Church. The memorial was held Saturday, Jan. 25 at St. Austin Catholic Church in Austin, Texas. It was officiated by Rev. Charles Kullmann, C.S.P.
She was born on June 2, 1985 in Cuero to Gerald Salcher and Patricia Salcher.
She graduated from Austin High School in the top 10 percent in 2003. In high school, Gail was in the National Honor society. She played the flute in the band and was a section leader. She participated in Student council. She was also athletic and participated in rowing and her crew boat came in 2nd in state. She then went to the University of Texas in Austin and graduated in 2007. Gail spent the last nine years in marketing and advertising. For the last four years she worked in digital marketing company in Austin called Modernize. She was a manager and was greatly loved and respected.
She is survived by her parents, Gerald and Patricia Salcher from Austin, Texas; grandmother, Kate Beebe of San Antonio; sister, Michelle Henson and brother-in-law, Joseph Henson, from Round Rock, Texas; nephew, Mason; and niece, Lyla from Round Rock.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, George and Dolores Salcher of Cuero; and grandfather, John McRae Beebe of San Antonio.
