Wildcats' playoff run ends

The 2017 high school football season has been filled with highs and lows for the Yorktown Wildcats. Through injuries, illness, and a hurricane, the Wildcats persevered. Reaching the third round of playoffs, the Wildcats faced a daunting opponent in the undefeated Mason Punchers.
Sadly, the Punchers would walk away with a 40-7 win over Yorktown to end the Wildcats playoff run.
Mason came on strong from the first whiste, and maintained a face and steady pace throughout the game. Try as they might, the Wildcats were unable to spkie the tires on a Mason scoring machine.
With Mason’s strong defense, the Wildcats were held to only 90 yards on the ground and 75 through the air. Though their offense may have been stymied somewhat, the Yorktown defense gave it all they had in attempt to throw Mason off their game. Jayden Webb, Corey Pargmann, Brian Metting, and Nathan London all went home with a sack each.
